Sleigh Ride!

We went on a sleigh ride in Jackson, WY. They provided us with some great pendelton blankets, which I love!

While in Jackson

During our time in Jackson, WY, it was pretty snowy, so we got a room at the Virginian Lodge and stayed for a week. We spent some time in the room just lounging and being cozy, but when we went out, we had a good time.

Here we are having happy hour at a local brewery called snake river!

Around the restaurant there were all of these painted tiles. They were painted by people who would come and join for a "paint a tile" night. All the tiles are then put up to decorate the restaurant. It was pretty unique.

In the middle of town there is a ski hill called Snow King. They offered night skiing and it lit up so pretty. We didn't get a chance to ski it, but we walked around to check it out. Kind of a cool thing to have in town.

In Downtown Jackson, there a four of these antler archways entering a park. They are all lit up and create such a pretty glow.

Bighorn Sheep! They were just walking across the road.

This is a view outside our room. It's to show the amount of snow. By the time we left, there was about twice that much.

Jonathan is throwing snowballs at me on our walk. One hit me right in the face!

Welcome to Jackson!

We made it to Jackson! It is a nice tiny little town. Lot's of cold and snow too! We got a hotel to stay, it is easier when we go to the mountain to just bring things to a warm place and let them dry at the end of the day. We started at the motel 8, then moved to the Virginian. They have a weekly rate which makes it cheaper then just a few days, so we went for it. We will be in Jackson until Thursday the 13th. 

We made it up to Jackson Hole mountain on Tuesday, it was about 1 degree out and lightly snowing. 

I love that we get real passes to keep!

It is a nice little village at the mountain.

Spending the night on the way to Jackson

We stopped in Idaho Falls at Wal-Mart to get some sleep on our way to Jackson. It was around 6 degrees and we were very cozy. The van is a great place to be comfortable, we tend to be so comfortable that we sleep longer then we realize. :) Our window coverings work very well at keeping warm in and light out.
