Welcome To Cabo

Cabo's ocean is so picturesque. A lot of my Mexico posts will involve pictures of the ocean. Jonathan is a wonderful photographer.

Early in the morning at the resort they comb the sand so it looks smooth and clean. One of those mornings, Jonathan went down and wrote Magee in the fresh sand. It was really cool and you could really only read it from the upper stories.

It is such a pleasure to be here in Cabo. Jonathan and I have been going to "presentations", where we get to see some luxurious resorts in the area. They provide breakfast and they reward us for our time. It's pretty cool to make a little money while on vacation.
The resort we are staying at also has a lot of activities to participate in, like pool-side bingo, lazy game of the day, free taco night, Karaoke, water aerobics. The pool is also great! Even more fun things we have done around here are, basketball, tennis, golf, foosball, and pool. It's a lot of fun to always have an activity to chose from.
When we all wind down for the night, we tend to play card games and read books. So far it's a very relaxing vacation.

San Diego part 2

Also while in San Diego, Tracie took on a a great hike, it lead up Mt. Woodson to potato chip rock. It was about 8 1/2 miles long, and pretty strenuous, but it was really pretty.
All along the hike there were these large flowers that stuck up about 8ft tall.

Jonathan and I out on Potato Chip rock!

San Diego, CA part 1

Jonathan and I living the thug life!
Check out those goggle tans!

San Diego is full of awesome cars like this Bentley.

And this Ferrari!

It was also nice to visit our friends Jenna and Aaron Unis and their new addition Hayden.
They took us on a brewery tasting tour, San Diego is really making some great new beers.

I look just like Chewbacca, what do you think?

Mammoth mountain

Our last stop on our mountain collective pass took us to Mammoth Mountain.
There were no Wal-marts, or places to park overnight around here. So after some research, we found out, you can park off of any forest road around. The first night we drove down a long dark road and found the entrance to a closed camp ground. Then the next night we slept in the parking lot of some hot springs.
This is the sunset where we were.

The path leading to the hot spring.

It was so nice to wake up early and soak before we went to the mountain. We had it all to ourselves.

Walking back to the car.

Reno to Squaw Valley

On our way to Reno, we stopped in Elko, NV to visit our friend Sean. It was a lovely night for Jonathan's birthday, so we hit the town for some food and beers. Sean had to make it an early night on account of being employed, :). So Jonathan and I found a Wal-mart to sleep at, then hit the road to Reno in the early morning.

Sean and his Wife Harmony live in Reno, so they were gracious enough to let us stay at their house. Somehow we got no pictures of us with Harmony. Bum Deal! Anyway, While in Reno, we connected with another friend of ours, Jenny. Jenny recently got married and her and her husband Jeremy took us to disc golf, then we all got burgers.
We also found a great hike in the area, thanks to Harmony, that lead to a waterfall. The weather in Reno was super nice while we were there.

After staying in Reno for a few days, we made our way to Squaw Valley. This is the 5th resort on our pass we made it too. Although there is usually a lot of ridable terrain at this mountain, it was pretty bare. It has been a very low snowfall year. However, we made the most of it and had a great time!

Everywhere you see dirt, usually has snow.

Snowbird, UT

Jonathan and I tend to have a lot of fun driving around together. I don't remember what was so funny, but i love this picture.

Next on the Mountain Collective pass for us was Snowbird, UT.
I was very intimidated by the looks of this mountain, but once I got up there, it turned out to be one of my favorites.

This was on Jonathan's birthday. It was cool, we ended up riding up the lift with a mountain host, and when I mentioned it was Jonathan's birthday, she gave him a couple free stickers. We have been getting stickers at all the resorts we have been going to, so that worked out great for us!

Relaxing on the chair lift!

Snowmass, CO

Jonathan and I headed east because there were no storms to be chased, so once we were heading back west, we knew we had to finish up our Mountain Collective pass.
Snowmass, Colorado is the 3rd destination on our pass.

This mountain was very beautiful with views all around. We were fortunate enough to have some fresh snow too!

The first night here we stayed in a wal-mart parking lot, the second night we actually got a hotel room. We stayed at the Ramada Inn, the best part about it was the breakfast. They had a full hot breakfast with eggs, potatoes, waffles, juice, bagels, and so on. It's nice to get out the van sometimes, even though it is super comfy!
