Molly's 70th Birthday

What other way would you want to spend your 70th birthday than with Jell-o shots and pub crawlin'? Well that was what Molly desired, so all of her kids, and some friends showed up to have fun!
It started at her house with a Taco Bar and good ole fun.
This is a great picture of Dad, who knew he could grow hair.

Then there were presents.

Then Molly was ready to go out!

This is Molly's bestie Noriko.

Reno Again!

Once again I will say how awesome it is to have Friends and Family!
We were able to stop by and see Sean and Harmony again. It was great fun, we got tickets to go to an event called Strange Brew Fest. It was exactly that, Weird! Here is a link to a few of the beers they had. http://thebrewerscabinet.com/2014/03/strange-brew-festival-2014/. When you arrive you receive a taster glass, then you go and try all the beer you want. There was also huge Jenga to play.

We all danced to the band and had an awesome time.

The next day we were feeling pretty lazy, we woke up and had German pancakes with peach marmalade, and nutella. Then for lunch we had chicken salad with homemade lemon mayo. And dinner was a roast with root veggies and balsamic turnip greens. We ate like kings. We also played front yard croquet. It's was great fun!

Sacramento, CA

It's been so great to have Family and Friends in so many places. Which leads us to, Sacramento, CA. Jonathan has a lot of family in this area, so we stayed with his Uncle Tim and Aunt Ruth.
They have a lovely home and it is very comfotable. This is a view from their backyard, so pretty, lot's of green. It was very hot while we visited, we don't love the heat, so we stayd inside a lot. The grass allergies were high as well, and I was suffereing.

We had nice visit's with Jonathan's other Uncle Steve and his cousin Stephanie. Also with cousin Jennifer. It's always good to be around Family.

Sacramento also has a historic downtown that we visited. I enjoyed the history of the area, and the cute shops.

It was also great to reconnect with an old friend, Lauren. We had fun catching up and having dinner. She has a beautiful daughter named Mia and 3 super cute dogs. I was so glad to see her!!

Napa Valley

We stopped in Napa to do some wine tasting. When we finally looked up a few vineyards we decided against it. It was more expensive then we expected. So instead we meandered around the town, and I found another big chair.

This area is very lush and green, we found all sorts of covered walks around the town.

A beautiful mosaic fountain.

Since we didn't do any wine tasting we decided to get a bite to eat at a little marketplace. This market had samples of all sorts of yummy items. We were taken with some goat cheese that had green chilies and jalapenos, so we bought some. Along with crackers and a bottle of wine. We also got a movie to watch, then sat in the back of the van with cheese, crackers, and wine. It was fun!

Musee Mancanique

Pier 45 in San Francisco holds the Musee Macanique. This building hold over 300 vintage mechanical items, such as arcade games and fortune tellers.
Here I am showing off my extra long legs!

This is a massage chair

We played all sorts of vintage games that ranged from .10cents to $1.00.

Steam engine motorcycle.

After the arcade we needed to get ice cream at Ghiradelli Square.

San Francisco

In San Francisco its nice to have a short drive out of the city. While we were ataying at my cousin Jenny's house, we decided to go on a little walk. she had told us about an ancient redwood called Methusela

It is said that this tree is 18,000 years old. It was huge!

The view from my Cousin Brittany's home in downtown.

Giants game at Pac-bell park.
The new stadium is awesome, pretty much every seat was a good one. We also read that this stadium has some of the best ballgame food.

So we tried some chicken fingers and garlic fries. It was pretty yummy!

Check out this Pink car! Mary Kay's got nothing on them!

Freebording San Francisco

Jonathan was fortunate enough to go Freebording with a group from the distribution center in San Francisco. He even rode Lombard street. Sorry no pictures of that. A few days later we went back to the store and Jonathan got to go ride with one of the pros, Mike Hoppe. We drove all around in the Dethbox (van), and they hit some good hills together. http://freebord.com/2014/05/08/lunch-break-freshly-paved. This is a link to the Freebord blog, the post had pictures of Jonathan. He's an internet sensation!!

From Santa Barbara to San Francisco

The drive on the 1 from Santa Barbara to San Francisco was gorgeous. Along the way there was the Hearst Castle, we did not stop there because it was expensive, we may go in the future. We did take the virtual tour online which was nice. :)
Also, there was a elephant seal refuge. This was awesome, I could stay all day and watch them fight and play and scratch. They have the biggest dough eyes, soo cute! The sounds they made were very funny also, sounded like lots of burps and farts. They took up about 2 miles of beach front.

Next along the way stopped in Santa Cruz to visit the Boardwalk. I have never been there, but Jonathan was a seasoned veteran. He let me pick the rides that we went on, I picked the swings, ghost ride, the one that shoots you up and drops you, and a roller coaster. We also had a slushie and a corn dog. It was really fun!

The Giant Dipper was built in 1924 it took 47 days and $50,000.  It has speeds up to 50mph and is up to 70ft tall. It is now considered a national monument.
It was a short ride but a good one.
