It has been a tradition in Anderson family past to have a reunion about every 3 years. We were a little behind this time, but we did it! My Aunt Judy and Cousin Shannon took on the task of organizing it this year, and they did a great job. They ended up renting 3 houses on Lake Payette in Mccall, Idaho. It was a bit of a journey for many, but it was so worth it just to have such fun together. Having it at a lake in a small town as opposed to a city is nice because the activities involve everybody.
Great shot of Jonathan photo bombing Kim.
We would gather for our meals at the house closest to the lake. Continental breakfast in the morning, sandwich makings with chips and potato salad for lunch. Dinners ranged from pizza, to Anderson tacos and other great meals.
Another tradition is the Ping Pong tournament. There is usually a double and single tournament, but with all of our activities, we only completed singles. After several rounds, Jonathan came out as men's champion!! My cousin Carrie won for Ladies Champion!!
Great picture of Jonathan playing my Uncle Jerry.
Here is a good match between Aunt Joy and Aunt Jan.
Here's one of Uncle Tommy and My Dad!!
Go Dad!!
Actually Tommy won this one and went on to play Jonathan for the title.
We were so lucky to have a dock all to ourselves, we saw beautiful sunsets nightly. There was also a lot of night swimming, and a boat we had for a couple of days.
The houses were situated on a big hill, and we were at the top floor of the house on the top of the hill. This amounted to lots of steps and hill climbing several times a day. Really burned off some of those calories from our meals. :)
Dance parties were also held nightly at the cousins house.
We even made it into the town of 2,000 once or twice.
Here are some cousins at Salmon River Brewing.
And the Ladies at our luncheon at The Shore Lodge.
Most of the Family left on Thursday and Friday. The remaining Anderson's, had the house closest to the lake for a couple more days. Jonathan and I stayed an extra night and had a movie and Ice cream party.
We did a few more things where no picture were takin', but lots of fun was had. We visited some Hot Springs, and also went rafting on the Snake river.
Can't wait for the next 3 years to fly by for another reunion!!!
