Amicalola Falls State Park, Georgia

On our way to the east we found a great Waterfall in Georgia. The views were incredible and it was a perfect day. This waterfall is 729ft. which is the highest in Georgia. The hiking trail leads you to the beginning of the Appalachian trail.

We took the hike to the top, it started out as a simple trail.

The trail lead us to 600 man-made stairs to the top.

It's labeled strenuous, it wasn't really that bad. :)

A view from the top

After we made it back down to the bottom, we drove the van to the top and Jonathan Freeborded down a 25% grade road twice. He would have done it more, but the van didn't like it to much.

  1. Great hike! Kind of funny that Jonathan had no trouble with the 25% grade on a freeboard but the van did! Such fun things you two do :) :)
