Back in Iowa!!

We were so happy to be able to visit the Diekmann family again. We love the time we get to spend with the boys and Kelly and Cristin!

Cristin mentioned to me that Jackson had been wanting a beach mural for his performances. So while he was at school one day, we went to the paint store. After looking at a few examples online, I did a quick sketch on the wall and started painting.

It was a lot of fun to try something like this, I have never done a mural before. 

Jackson kept adding ideas about what he wanted on the beach. We started with just a crab, then progressed to a beach pail. He also wanted fish and sharks and whales......

The tree, beach, and clouds all have glow in the dark paint on them so for nighttime performances it will glow behind him.

Everybody seemed really pleased with the outcome, so that makes me happy!!

Cricket wasn't allowed on the couch, so she found a spot of her own.

 Everyday there is so much going on, and boys everywhere. It was great to play and read and play and read all day.

These are some smiley boys, always ready to run and wrestle.

  

3 boys in a box!

Jonathan and I bought a mix for Indian fry bread to make with the boys one night. We made fry bread tacos that turned out awesome. Then when the boys went to bed we made fry bread dessert for the grown-ups.

 Delicious!!!

One night we went out to eat at Hickory Park, we had some great BBQ and I had a pineapple soda.

Jackson had recently started taking Taekwondo lessons, and invited me to his class while we were there. It was so cute!! I love seeing kids try something new.

A package arrived in the mail, and the box was the most exciting part of it for the boys.

We cut it up and colored it, then put some straps on so they could fly their new plane all around the house!

Every night we all sat down for a family meal. 

It was wonderful! 

I already miss the Diekmann's, can't wait to go back. :)
